I would like to start with my first impression from my first day.
Our first class started at 10 AM, and the subject was physics, it was in a big auditorium and the lecturer said "I realized that it is your first class so I have to say welcome to Bar Ilan and let's start". I must say that I was shocked, I was hoping to hear some more about this place and the engineering faculty that I am studying in. But there was no time for that we had to do a lot in a small amount of time.
Then came the first home assignment everyone was so motivated to see what they understood from the first lectures. Tell you the truth the first assignments were easy and made us feel good about our self, after a period we came to understand that wasn’t the real thing, it became harder and harder. I found my self leaving home at 7 AM and came back 10PM but I must say I'm not suffering I am really having fun and my fellow students are also good people' and everyone is happy to help each other.
I must add a good word to the staff of the engineering faculty in Bar Ilan that they are very supporting and helping.
Once a week I'm going to a high school in Bnei-Brak to study math with two nine graders as part of the Shulich program. First of all it gives you a great feeling to help someone who needs it. And it is a privilege to learn with those specific students that they are very nice, and full with a young spirit and motivation to succeed and learn.
In Bar Iilan I am also studying in the Machon Hagavoa Letora where I hear lessons from Rabbis and get to continue my studies from the past few years where learned in Yeshivat Birkat Moshe in Ma'ale Adumim.
To sum up I am very happy and I am enjoying my time in university, I really feel that im not wasting my time but I'm doing good things with it
