It's hard to believe only three months have passed. On the one hand it feels like I've been studying for years, but on the other hand, I can still remember very well the excitement on my first day but actually being "shocked".
The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, has become a world leader and produced Noble Prize winners. The result is that the Technion demands from its students from day one to settle down and start learning. It is very challenging and somewhat overwhelming at times. Students hurry from class to class, trying to ensure a good seat in the classrooms, and this gives an atmosphere like rats in an experimental laboratory. One learns to adapt quickly to the system.
However, although it seems like you have to spend every spare moment studying, I do try my best to find time for using the amazing facilities offered at the Technion such as the swimming pool, and also continuing with social activities, like enjoying the time with my new friends at the Technion's "Happenings" on Wednesdays. These events are organized by the student's council allowing one to let down the tensions and enjoy hearing music, talking with friends and just enjoying oneself socializing.
So studying in the Technion IIT is nothing like anything I've done in the past.
