My experience from Tel Aviv University:
My last few months have been pretty intense. Going back to school after a break of five years wasn't so easy, especially if considering the fact that just a few days before the beginning of the semester i returned from my six-months "post-army" trip all around the world; that was quite a shock.
However, going through it with friends made it much more pleasant. I must say, before i started studying i had some concerns since i knew no one going in with me to tel aviv university, but right away those concerns were gone. Very quickly I made some new friends, with whom i usually hang out and study. From my experience, studying in groups with friends doesn't only make it more pleasant as i mentioned earlier, but also much easier. When a few minds think together, usually it takes less time to solve the problem.
Along with the studies, as part of the 'Schulich leaders' program, once a week i meet with two high-school students and together we do their homework and study for their exams, mostly in English & Math. I have a great time in these meetings: Besides the great feeling of giving, it is nice every once in while to be able to actually solve math problems easily....
in five days from now i will have my first exam, so wish me luck....
All the best,
